Meet the Founder
Founded and led by Kat Henry, Freedom Academy is built on a clear vision — to create confident, well-rounded performers through innovative children's performance programs in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Kat trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has worked professionally within the industry. She now oversees every aspect of the academy, working closely with tutors to ensure every class reflects the same high standard, energy, and care, particularly in our confidence building and creative classes.
Freedom Academy was created to be more than just a class — a space where children feel safe, included, and free to be themselves, while being supported and challenged to grow.
Our Tutors
Our creative classes for children's performance are led by experienced tutors with professional performing arts backgrounds, bringing industry knowledge and high-quality training into every session. All staff are Enhanced DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every child. We are committed to delivering a consistent, inspiring, and high-quality experience across all classes that focus on confidence building.

We have an Elite Competition Team where children can participate in creative classes that emphasize confidence building. All students also have opportunities to showcase their talents through children's performances at community events throughout the year.
LAMDA Exams

All children in Year 2 and over participate in group LAMDA exams as part of their creative classes, which include subjects such as musical theatre, acting, and choral speaking. These experiences not only enhance their children's performance skills but also focus on confidence building.
