The Measures we will be taking during Summer Camp 2020 will include:

1. REDUCED CAPACITIES - Group sizes will be kept to a maximum of 15 children and will be
kept in a bubble meaning they will not intersect with other groups during the day.

Each tutor will be assigned a group bubble and they will be in charge of this group for the week.
Every child must attend for the full week and remain in the same bubble for the week.

2. ENCHANCED CLEANING – Each camp will have a dedicated cleaner to ensure that areas
remain sanitised throughout the day.

3. SEPARATE BREAK & LUNCH AREAS – Groups will have lunches and breaks in separate
areas. If it is not possible to use different areas then break/lunch times will be staggered and
cleaned in between groups.

4. TEMPERATURE CHECKS - Infrared thermometers will be available at every site and any
child or staff member with a temperature exceeding 38 degrees will be sent home.

5. HAND CLEANING - Hand washing will take place before and after each activity. Hand washing will be supervised by staff to ensure children are being thorough. Antibacterial hand gel will also be available within each group throughout the day. It will be used before and after any equipment is touched.

6. CONTACT FREE DROP OFF & COLLECTION - Drop off and collection will involve children
being dropped off at the gate and no adult is permitted into the building.

7. INCREASED OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES - more activities than usual will take place out in the fresh air, weather permitting. This is safer and allows us to spread out each group in a larger space
although we will also have use of many indoor areas where we can adapt activities should the weather be inclement. If an activity takes place indoors we will ensure that the room is well ventilated with windows and doors open through out where possible.

9. MORNING SAFETY TALK – At the start of each day, group leaders will talk through the
“catch it, bin it and kill it” message and advise children of the rules that they will need to abide by regarding hand washing and social distancing. Children will be told that their group leader will always carry tissues and antibacterial hand gel if required.

9. CONTACT WITH LOCAL TEST CENTERS – We will be in touch with local testing centres to ensure that our staff and children can receive tests if they are showing symptoms.

10. INDIVIDUAL WORK SPACES ALLOCATED AND SOCIALLY DISTANCED All children will work at a social distance on their own marked spots or stations in accordance with the government guidelines at the time of the course.

11. CONTENT- DRAMA AND ART ONLY The summer school will consist of drama and craft activities.

12. GOVERNMENT SAFTY MEASURES Freedom Academy agree to abide and follow all guidelines
at all times set out in the: Protective measures for out-of-school settings during the coronavirus
(COVID-19) outbreak

The welfare of our children, families, tutors and ourselves is absolutely paramount and especially at this
time. All our tutors hold enhanced DBS checks, first aid certificates which were renewed on 14th
March 2020 and we have a designated Safeguarding Lead. We would be more than happy to send all documentation and policies to you on request.

Kind Regards
Katherine Henry
